Retreats
I invite you to imagine days with nothing else in the diary — no appointment waiting afterwards, no need to gather yourself up and return to the rest of the day. Only the time, and what it might make room for.
Retreats are one to three days, in person, held in Devon and in London, and only while I am in the UK. A retreat weekend is given to one person or one couple. It is never shared, and there is no group. Whether you take one, two or three days within it, the weekend is yours.
A day runs to roughly six hours, with a lunch break of an hour and a half in the middle. That break is part of the design rather than an interruption of it. There is time to arrive slowly, time for something to be worked with properly, and time afterwards to sit with what has moved before anything is asked of you again.
Where a retreat runs across more than one day, I ask people to stay overnight nearby. Sleep is when the day is processed. Someone who drives home and comes back in the morning has done two separate days; someone who stays has done one longer piece of work.
A retreat is not a thing on its own
Retreats sit inside a six- or twelve-session online programme. The sessions before do the preparation, and the sessions afterwards do the integration. Without them, a retreat becomes an event rather than a piece of work — days that felt significant, with nowhere for the significance to go.
So the conversation usually goes the other way round from how people expect. We begin the programme, and the retreat is arranged inside it, when the time for it has arrived.
What a retreat is for
Retreats suit work that does not fit into an hour: somatic assessment, intimacy skills training, scar tissue remediation, body mapping, and anything where the body needs time to arrive before it can do more than cope.
People arrive with all sorts of things, and none of it needs to be tidy, or explained well, before you come. Inexperience. Pain. Desire that no longer meets a partner's. Turn-ons that feel troublesome. The ordinary and particular griefs of a body that has been managed for a long time. We begin from where you actually are, rather than from where either of us might think you ought to be.
Couples can be held by me alone, or by two practitioners — myself and a colleague, in the room together. Couples retreats are held in London.

Retreat weekends in 2026: 21–22 November, 28–29 November and 5–6 December. Three weekends, one person or one couple in each. Dates for 2027 are set once the teaching calendar is fixed.
If some part of you has already imagined being in that room, I invite you to bring it to the discovery call. Nothing is decided there, and you might learn something either way.
